Seated Kung Fu*

Kung-Fu for Seniors is a new program developed by Santanu Rahman, the director of Austin Kung-Fu Academy. It can be done from a chair! Just follow along with the movements as you get to go through a traditional routine. Kung-Fu is a martial art from China, and its first purpose was to develop the mind and body. Many of the movements were designed by reflecting the movements of animals, such as the tiger, crane, leopard, snake, and praying mantis. Another influence was natural forces, such as fire, water, earth, and wind. Kung-Fu helps in developing strength in muscles, bones, and joints. It also builds focus and cognitive functioning. No experience needed!
